CSC Welcomes New Board Member: Shelly Blake

Community Services for Children (CSC) is pleased to announce the newest addition to our Board of Directors, Dr. Shelly Blake, a highly respected Registered Pharmacist and Certified Immunizer with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Dr. Blake brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will undoubtedly enhance CSC’s mission and vision for the Lehigh Valley. 

With her certification in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Dr. Blake has made significant contributions to the field, particularly in clinical retail and wellness services. Her dedication to patient care is evident through her work in Medication Therapy Management (MTM), where she specializes in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, her role in administering vaccinations, including travel vaccines and those for preventable diseases such as the flu and MMR, demonstrates her commitment to community health. 

Dr. Blake has a strong background in operations and compliance within the highly regulated pharmacy industry. Her adherence to best practices and regulatory compliance ensures that safe and effective care is delivered to our community. We believe that her experience in navigating the intricate landscape of healthcare regulations will greatly benefit our organization. 

Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Blake is passionate about fostering relationships within the medical community and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and local caretakers. This collaborative spirit aligns perfectly with our core values, and we look forward to her insights as we strive to build a stronger network of support for those we serve. 

Dr. Blake’s dedication to advocating for drug decriminalization through her involvement with the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) exemplified her belief in treating substance abuse as a health issue rather than a crime. This progressive approach resonates with our commitment to promoting health equity and reducing stigma around addiction.
