Northeast Regional Key

The goal of the Northeast Regional Key is to help child care providers improve the quality of early childhood education throughout its 16-county region by providing management services; grants and awards; professional development and technical assistance in various areas such as curriculum; human resources; facility development and safety. As centers achieve milestones that reflect standards of practice and professionalism set by Pennsylvania, they earn stars, with a Star 4 rating being the highest. More than 700 child care providers participate in the voluntary STARS program.

More than 400 child care providers participate in the subsidy program. CCIS also offers child care referral services for parents and assistance in choosing child care.

Early Ed Academy

In addition to training offered through the Regional Key, we provide national-level professional development for pre-kindergarten to grade 1 teachers and trainers in such areas as STEM, early literacy and trauma-informed care through the Early Ed Academy.

Throughout all our programs, we affect the lives of more than 40,000 children and families annually.
