PA One Book

PA One Book

Pennsylvania One Book, Every Young Child is a collaborative project using the vehicle of “One Book, One State” program to highlight the importance of early literacy development. The goal of the PA One Book, Every Young Child Program is to increase awareness of the importance of reading and engaging children in stories among adults with preschoolers in their lives.

How can that goal be reached?

By having community members like YOU read to children at a local child care program in your area.

2018 PA One Book Selection

The 2018 PA One Book is My Cousin Momo, written and illustrated by Zach OHora. My Cousin Momo is a story about Momo a flying squirrel who goes to visit some family, look to see how his visit went…  “Momo is coming for a visit, and his cousins are SO excited! But, when Momo appears, the squirrel cousins find that he has interesting dress up clothes, plays games differently and doesn’t want to fly event thought he is a flying squirrel.  But when they give Momo’s ideas a try, brother and sister squirrel end up making a new friend.  When can they all visit together again?”
