Creative Kids Engineering & Design Exhibit

Date: Mar. 21, 2018
Time: 5:00pm
Location: 555 Union Blvd., Allentown, PA

You are invited to the annual Creative Kids Engineering & Design Exhibit, also known as the Cardboard Challenge!

In 2014, Head Start centers across the country got involved in The Global Cardboard Challenge, which encourages children to use their imaginations to build structures out of cardboard and other recycled materials. This project is a direct tie to STEM-based learning, with children honing problem-s0lving skills and collaborating in ways that will help them throughout their education and later in their careers.

The Cardboard Challenge event is a chance for the public to see the amazing projects created by CSC's Head Start students, while enjoying a reception complete with wine, cheese and chocolate. The event will take place in our Early Learning Center, which opened in the fall of 2017, at the rear of 555 Union Blvd., Allentown.

Communities served by Head Start centers represent the nation's most vulnerable children and families, who have been historically underrepresented in STEM fields.
