Conference: The opioid crisis and effective interventions

This conference will take an in-depth look at the opioid crisis plaguing our nation, providing an overview of its impact as well as therapeutic interventions for young children impacted by the trauma of drug abuse. The schedule is as follows:
8:30 a.m.: Registration
9 a.m. to noon: "Understanding the opioid crisis and its impact," by Marilyn Sullivan, LPC
12 to 12:45 p.m.: Lunch
12:45 to 4 p.m.: "A therapeutic approach for drug-impacted traumatized infants and toddlers," by Lora Lesak, CPNP, RN, BS, Director of Developmental Health Services at CSC
*The afternoon session will conclude with an optional tour of Early Head Start at the Donley Infant Center. This facility provides a therapeutic classroom setting for children birth to age 3 who have been impacted by drug and alcohol abuse.
