Conference: Overcoming Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) with music and mindfulness

In the latest installment of our trauma conference series, attendees will learn ways to build resilience and overcome Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) through song and mindfulness. Sessions will run 8:30 to noon and be led by David Kisor, musician, educator and music director at "Growing Sound," and Shanthi Project, a nonprofit organization that uses therapeutic yoga and mindfulness to help at-risk youth and trauma survivors.

Session 1: “I’M GONNA FIND A WAY: Overcoming Adverse Childhood Experience through songs,” with David Kisor

Session 2: “Trauma-Informed Practices in the Early Childhood Classroom," and "Mindfulness-Based Self-Care for Education and Child Care Professionals,” with Shanthi Project

Act 48 credits and CEUs will be offered to attendees. CSC will cover the $5 cost if the Act 48 form is completed the day of the training. Please bring your PDE number.
