Our Present

Today, CSC is one of the top 40 Head Start providers in the nation and has about 1100 children and families enrolled in Early Head Start/Head Start. In addition,

• CSC is the Northeast Pennsylvania Regional Key with responsibility for assisting early learning providers in 15 counties and administers Child Care Information Services of Lehigh County. 
• We have expertise in early learning and school-age care and education. 
• Our Head Start classrooms are accredited by the nation’s premier organizations, the National Association for the Education of  Young Children (NAEYC) and Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools.
• The SafeStart for Fragile Families Early Head Start program serves as a unique model in the nation
• We advise 4000 parents a year seeking child care services and administer subsidized child care for low income residents of Lehigh County. 
• CSC offers resources to 1200 early learning and school-age care and education programs, including technical supports, professional development, and financial resources to support the sites in meeting the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS quality improvement standards.
• We provide Head Start and Early Head Start services cooperatively and collaboratively with many partners, including Allentown School District, Bethlehem Area School District, Northern Lehigh School District, Lehigh Valley Child Care, Volunteers of America Child Care, Intermediate Units 20 and 21, Lehigh County and Northampton County Offices of Children and Youth, and Lehigh Career and Technical Institute.
