Our Present

CSC is a leader in early childhood education. We assist teachers and at-risk children and their families to succeed. Our top programs include Head Start/Early Head Start, PreK Counts Preschool, Child Care Information Services of Lehigh County (subsidizies for childcare), and the Northeast Regional Key professional development service.  

• Our Head Start classrooms are accredited by the nation’s premier organizations: National Association for the Education of  Young Children (NAEYC) and Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools.
• Early Head Start - SafeStart Child Welfare Collaboration is a unique therapeutic nursery model for the nation
• We advise 3000 parents a year seeking child care services and administer subsidized child care for low income residents of Lehigh County. 
• CSC offers resources to 1200 early learning and school-age care and education programs, including technical supports, professional development, and financial resources to support the sites in meeting the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS quality improvement standards.
• We provide services cooperatively and collaboratively with many partners, including Allentown School District, Bethlehem Area School District, Northern Lehigh School District, Intermediate Units 20 and 21, Lehigh County and Northampton County Offices of Children and Youth, and Lehigh Career and Technical Institute.
