Subsidized Child Care
Community Services for Children administers the Child Care
Information Service (CCIS) for Lehigh County. The state funds CCISs to improve access to child care for low-income
families. Qualifying child care providers who accept children for Subsidized Care are paid a reimbursement rate. Enrollments
need to be authorized by the CCIS prior to the children attending the child care. Enrollment summaries are mailed to the child
care providers once the enrollment has been processed.
The CCIS will issue a child care attendance invoice to the
provider on the 25th of the month for which child care is provided. Child care providers who submit signed child care
invoices for payment by the fifth calendar day of the month following the month in which child care was provided will be paid by
the 20th of that month. The CCIS accepts attendance invoices via multiple channels of access such as fax, US mail, or
hand delivered. Any invoices received after the 5th of the month or adjustments to previously paid invoices will be
processed and payments issued by the next payment cycle.
