Selecting Child Care
CCIS of Lehigh County, TOT-INFO (610-868-4636) is a free, private phone service to help parents living in Lehigh County find appropriate child care services. The service is available Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
Northampton County residents should contact Child Care Information Services of Northampton County at 610-419-4500 for assistance with finding child care.
At TOT-INFO, we can help parents review their need for financial assistance. This includes subsidized child care, sliding fees, multi-child discounts and tax benefits and credits.
Trained professionals can provide parents with referrals and information about selecting child care:
- What accreditation is and the names of accredited facilities
- Information about the Keystone STARS and PreK Counts programs
- Types of facilities available
- The cost of service
- Location of programs
- Enrollment procedures
- Where their specials needs can be met
- What to look for in a quality child care setting
- How to reduce their child care cost
- Questions to ask providers
